The Gift Of Adversity

God will never put a dream in your heart, that He can’t put in your hand.  But you have to be prepared for it.  Thus brings about the adversity.  Over the past 3 years, I have learned to shift the way I see my adversities, to treat them as gifts, not enemies, transforming pain into purpose.  The first lesson that I learned, everything occurs in perfect timing.

Whatever you teach the world you get to learn & apply.  It has been said that we teach most what we need to learn.  And when we do that we invite those adversities and/or lessons into our lives.  So in the midst of that adversity that you are facing, go to a quiet place, and ask God, “I welcome this adversity.  What is it here to teach me?”.  That is the most powerful question to be asked because adversity is a gift wrapped in unattractive paper.

Once you get the lesson the circumstance will pass away, and new circumstance arises.  But when the same adversity keeps coming about, find that lesson, because once you do, you will be prepared to move forward.  As long as you’re alive, change is involved.  The day you stop growing is the day you die. When adversity comes, welcome it & ask “What is this here to teach me?”  But also take notice of the beginning quote.  There is a seed that needs nourished & taken care so that it can come forward.

Do NOT fight the last war…

“A bat fell to the ground and was caught by a house-ferret.  Realizing that she was on the point of being killed, she begged for her life.  The house-ferret said that she couldn’t let her go, for ferrets were supposed to be natural enemies to all birds.  The bat replied that she herself was a mouse.  She managed to extricate herself from her danger by this means.  Eventually, falling a second time, the bat was caught by another house-ferret.  Again, she pleaded to the ferret not to eat her.  The second ferret declared that she absolutely detested all mice.  But the bat positively affirmed that she was not a mouse but a bat.  And she was released again.  And that was how she saved herself from death twice by a mere change of name.”~Aesop Fables

This fable shows that it is not always necessary to confine ourselves to the same tactics.  But, on the contrary, if we are adaptable to circumstances we can better escape danger.  Forget the last battle you lost, and you should forget the last battle you lost also…it may save your life. #BeDynamic

Law Of Attraction: The Emphasis On Words

“You attract in your life whatever you give attention, energy & focus to, whether positive or negative” ~Michael Losier

Do you understand the significance of your words? Example: The words don’t, not & no tend to internalize the thing that you don’t want, or being told not to do.  It’s just the way the human mind works. If someone tells you to NOT think about a cheeseburger, 9 of 10 times, that person will think of the biggest cheeseburger in the world.  The law of attraction responds the same way your mind does: it hears what you DON’T want.  Try this, eliminate the words don’t, not & no from your vocabulary.  When you find yourself using those words, ask yourself “What DO I want?” Stop giving your attention & energy to what you don’t want.  When you replace that sentence with what you DO want, your vibrations change.  Mastering your words is a fundamental practice in attracting positive.  There’s much more on this topic, but I specifically focused on words because I see so many people talk about what they DON’T want to happen and what they will NOT do.  I have personally learned that my positive thoughts lead to positive words, and my positive words lead to positive deeds. #BeDynamic

It’s been a while and although I have learned how to embrace the adversity because of the lessons, I still need to learn how to appreciate the triumphs.  Five employment opportunities, the beginning of my journey to get my Psy.D, my beautiful family, and the daily opportunity to be better than I was yesterday.  Now everything isn’t perfect but I can really appreciate my many blessings, while embracing my adversity but hey…that’s life.  Enjoy the song! #BeDynamic
