Law Of Attraction: The Emphasis On Words

“You attract in your life whatever you give attention, energy & focus to, whether positive or negative” ~Michael Losier

Do you understand the significance of your words? Example: The words don’t, not & no tend to internalize the thing that you don’t want, or being told not to do.  It’s just the way the human mind works. If someone tells you to NOT think about a cheeseburger, 9 of 10 times, that person will think of the biggest cheeseburger in the world.  The law of attraction responds the same way your mind does: it hears what you DON’T want.  Try this, eliminate the words don’t, not & no from your vocabulary.  When you find yourself using those words, ask yourself “What DO I want?” Stop giving your attention & energy to what you don’t want.  When you replace that sentence with what you DO want, your vibrations change.  Mastering your words is a fundamental practice in attracting positive.  There’s much more on this topic, but I specifically focused on words because I see so many people talk about what they DON’T want to happen and what they will NOT do.  I have personally learned that my positive thoughts lead to positive words, and my positive words lead to positive deeds. #BeDynamic

Crossfit in 100 words…

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean & jerk, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.” ~Greg Glassman

My return to CrossFit is NOW! I will be posting a workout a week to chronicle my progress!  Get in or get out! #BeastMode

“I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny…” ~Og Mandino

On Perspective…

During my period of “selective ignorance”, I have attempted to refocus on some of problem solving abilities, working on maintaining perspective of how I address challenges in my life. I have purposely limited my time on social networking while looking inward to answers some serious questions about myself. Allow me to express what I have learned…

I have definitely learned how to find a little bit of joy in the midst of these issues, especially when I recognize their purpose & results. I am always prepared and open to the lesson of the challenge that is before me. That not only assists me to get through but it makes me a living, walking example to those who are watching me. In most cases, I am truly blessed with what is needed to get me to the next level…learning through the challenge, becoming stronger for my next challenge in life. My faith is a major factor in this perspective. I am a firm believer that God blesses me with these trials to conquer and draw closer to Him strengthening my relationship.

I always talk about the elements of my prayer. Supplication, asking for the blessings of wisdom & discernment to make good decisions. Thanks, appreciating the opportunity to exercise the wisdom granted through the challenges in my life. So when you are going through YOUR challenges, embrace the struggle of this “Beautiful Struggle” we call life because you will be stronger. Be blessed, #BeDynamic

Test Of A Man

The test of man is the fight that he makes.
The grit that he daily shows.
The way that he stands upon his feet.
And takes life’s numerous bumps and blows.

A coward can smile,
When there’s not to fear.
And nothing, his progress bars.
But it takes a man to stand and cheer.
While the other fellow stars.

It isn’t the victory after all,
But, the fight that a brother makes.
A man when driven against the wall,
takes the blows of fate.

With his head held high.
Bleeding, bruised, and pale!!
Is the man who will win, fate defied,
For he isn’t afraid to fail.

First Line of Defense

Forrest Griffin & Ty chilling at the Grappling Tournament

I had a blast at the UFC Fan Expo in Boston which included me getting a FREE ticket to UFC 118!  While attending the expo’s many attractions, I got all of the fighters’ perks (Free shirts, hats, supplements, bags etc.) even chilled with them in down time.  I realized that I got all of the attention because I looked like one of them, an MMA fighter.  It made me think about a book I read “Restoring the Male Image” by Alex O. Ellis.  In the book, Mr. Ellis talks about the impact of your image (from attire to walk) at times can be your first line of defense.  Wear a suit, people will initially treat you like a businessman, wear baggy jeans & baseball cap people will initially treat you like a thug (in many cases) and in my case wear a tight fighter t-shirt & flip-flops and you’ll get treated like a MMA fighter (in UFC arenas).

When you go to a job interview or business meeting, people decide whether they want to work with you within the first 15 seconds, without any type of conversation.  The point is this, if you ever wondered why people treat you a certain way upon meeting you, they judged you based on your appearance.  I am not saying that this is right but as Earth Wind & Fire says “that’s the way, of the world”.  In this world of micro-branding, if you want the part, you have to look the part, play the part then be the part.  I think the next UFC event I attend, I’ll wear a suit….nah, I liked getting free stuff.  Be blessed, #bedynamic!
